Then you're probably settling an estate, and you're probably being contacted by a number of people right now. It's reasonable to want to know who we are before you reply.
Here's the short version. We buy houses directly — usually ones that need work, or that are tied up in an estate, or that the family lives too far away to deal with. We're local, we've been doing this a long time, and we're not agents. Nobody here is asking you to list anything.
We'll also tell you plainly: not every conversation should end in a sale to us. If listing the house with a good agent would leave you better off, Chip would rather say so than talk you into something. You can call and ask questions without any of it going anywhere.
What working with us usually looks like
We buy the house or townhouse as it stands
No repairs, no cleaning, no clearing out. Contents and all — leave whatever you don't want.
You chose the timing
A couple of weeks if you need it done, or months of breathing room if the estate isn't ready. The date is yours.
No commissions or fees
Nothing comes out of the proceeds, and we cover the normal closing costs.

Most sales are straight cash. Where a house owned free and clear, there are arrangements that pay you more than a cash offer would, spread over time. We can also take over payments if there is an existing mortgage on the home. We can show you options.

Chip started out purchasing, rehabbing and selling or renting properties back in 2002 and has done more than 97 properties. That put him in front of a lot of people who had inherited a house they had no use for, or who'd become landlords by accident, and who couldn't get a straight answer about their options. Buying houses directly turned out to be a more useful thing to do.
Chip has lived in Northern Virginia for over 30 years and is an avid fisherman.
